Hi
I'm also a big fan and personal friend of Fats Domino. About 15 years ago when I saw him at Hyannis Meledy tent,I gave him a Ebony magazine that had a article on him about his new home in New Orleans. Can't remember what was the month and year. Have you ever seen this article? I would like to find another issue for my personal files.

Yes, Fats Domino recorded a song "South of the Border" on Nov 6, 1961. It was originally issued only on LP-9170 "Twistin' the Stomp".
Attached is the beginning of the song as MP3-file!

Dear Mr.Domino!
Since the fiftees I have been a real fan of you Mr.Fats Domino. The first
record I bought of you was" I`m ready b/w Margie".It was in
1958.Since then I have bought severals of your Great Hits.Last week I bought 1 cd with the title 20 Greatest Jukebox Hits.I have played it 2 or 3 times in the week.I visited your hometown New Orleans during the
Jazz and Herritage Festival in 1979.On the Fairground that year Jerry Lee
Lewis was playing. It was really exciting, but we have hoped that you were on
the stage.I saw you when you visit my hometown Oslo- Norway.I think it was
in 1989?It was really a fantastic concert with you and the band . (With Dave
Bartholomew and Lee Allen)
I wish you Fats Domino many still good years.
Keep on rockin``
Yours truly

Hello,
My name is Steven Harwood, and I live in Enid, OK, USA. I'm a pianist and Fats Domino is one of my biggest heroes. I've been listening to Fats ever since I was four years old, and I just turned 20 yesterday! He is an awesome pianist, and a hell of a singer also. I just found your site Sunday evening, and I really enjoy it. What all can you tell me about the 1965 mystery album "Southland USA"? From what I've heard, and looking at the cuts on this album, it looks pretty good. I sure wish there was a way that I could somehow hear these songs. It's seems almost impossible to find a copy of this album! Once again, I really enjoy your site. It's nice to know that there are Fats Domino fans all around the world. His music is universal, and it brings smiles to so many faces.
Best Wishes,
Steven C. Harwood
Hi,

Hello big fats fan,
I'm Rebecca from holland and I have some questions about Fats Domino.
I hope you can answer them.
first question=Is Fats still alive??We don't hear anything from him here in Holland.
We hope that he's still alive.
Second question=Who's Al Jackson? Is he a relative of Fats. He sounds very good and we would like to know if there are any albums of him avaliable in Holland
I hope to hear from you
greetings from Holland
Rebecca Timp
Hello Rebecca!
1. Fats is still alive and 75 now. His last performance was on 24th of April at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
2. Here you can find an article on Al Jackson http://www.barbaracoppersmith.com/corp/aljackson.html
He is not a relative to Fats. His one and only album so far "Poor Man's Blues" was issued on Kolab Records and is now out of print.
